Anyone else read the story earlier this week, announcing that the Hubble Space Telescope has found a fifth moon around Pluto? If not, the BBC News story is at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-18803212 . I found this interesting for two reasons: first, I hadn’t caught up on the fact that there were already four discovered moons of Pluto (I only knew of Charon). Second, it seems very strange to me that a minor planet as small and far out from the Sun as Pluto should have multiple moons. Does anyone else find this slightly strange, or is it just me?
