With apologies for a very long delay in putting this up, the latest issue of Focus came out in early October, in the same mailing as Vector No.273. This issue includes several articles on the pros and cons of being in a writing group (including the BSFA’s own Orbiter groups). I found it really interesting, with lots of information on the different types of writing groups (e.g. face-to-face vs. online, and general vs. genre-specific). Possibly my favourite article was Martin McGrath’s very funny guide to the different types of members of writing groups (the lover, the hater, the nitpicker, …).
Anyone else want to share their views on Focus No.60? What was your favourite article?
