You're not a little surprised that Chiang lost the short fiction? (Looking at the voting figures, he was ahead by six votes in the penultimate round; then Chaz Brenchley's story was eliminated, and of his votes 2 went to Chiang and 12 went to MacLeod.)

No, this is a British fan award and I always thought it would reflect this.
